Warakirri History
Warakirri Asset Management Pty Ltd ("Warakirri") was established in 1993 with a view to provide charitable and tax-exempt investors with an investment vehicle managed specifically to their tax-exempt status. The result was the Warakirri Charitable Australian Equities Trust. Since then, Warakirri has established numerous trusts and funds specifically designed to meet the varied needs of investors. Today, Warakirri provides specialist investment vehicles to meet the needs of charitable, professional and institutional investors across After-Tax Australian Equities Funds, Australian Agriculture Funds and Currency Management.
Warakirri is a boutique asset management business with more than 25 full-time staff. It is a private company, 100% owned by its Directors and Staff and has a Board of Directors with independent director representation.
Warakirri is dedicated to creating innovative service offerings to meet investors' needs. Warakirri leads the industry on its after-tax initiatives.
After-Tax Initiatives
Warakirri is focussed on maximising after-tax returns for investors. Warakirri has worked in conjunction with numerous fund managers and market participants to develop an after-tax performance measurement system, as well as system capabilities to manage investment decision-making and reporting on an after-tax basis. Warakirri's after-tax methodology is designed to provide a fair measure of a portfolio's after-tax return.
From 1 July 2007 all of Warakirri's Australian equities mandates have been measured on an after-tax basis. In 2009, Warakirri began offering its After-Tax Performance Analytics to large institutional investors.
